Glamox awarded LED lighting contract for Statoil – Johan Castberg FPSO

We are pleased to announce that Glamox AS has signed a framework agreement to supply the LED lighting package for the Johan Castberg FPSO (floating production storage and offloading unit).

Energy consumption reduced with 87 % by converting to LED

An upgrade of the lighting on NORLED-ferry MS Dronningen has led to an 87.2 % reduction in kilowatt hours. This is a saving potential that is applicable to most commercial vessels that use conventional light sources today. 

Glamox is in accordance to the EU Regulation EC 245-2009

On the transition date of April 12, 2017, the EU Regulation EC 245-2009 addressing eco-design requirements of products mainly used for office, industry and street lighting will become effective. This entails that luminaires with an EEI of A3, or worse, cannot be placed onto the EEA market.
