No product leaves this laboratory until it has passed the most stringent tests and examinations. A further advantage of our research centre: This is where new innovations are regularly created which make our products even better. And even safer.Vibration tests:
The climate inspection chambers have an examination capacity of up to 1,500 litres. They are used to undertake heat tests of up to +180 °C, cold tests of down to -70 °C and humidity examinations in a range between 15% to 95%. Rapid temperature changes of up to 5 °C per minute are possible in a 180 litre chamber.
A gliding table with an oil film is used to test products from impact with sinus, sound and shock impulses. Acceleration sensors are utilised to examine the special characteristics of the products. Acceleration values of up to 15 G can be achieved.
Salt spray testing is very important for assessing the suitability of products intended for use in shipping. Unacceptable products corrode within a short time under the influence of the saline air. In a salt spray chamber with a volume of 1000 L, we are able to simulate this effect, speeded up in time. Different spraying periods and temperatures are programmable.
Protection class tests:
From rain testing through spray water and water jets to permanent submersion in the pressure vessel, the IP degrees of protection for products can be tested.
Different test means for simulation are possible:
- rain IP X4
- spray water IP X5
- splash water IP X6
- submersion into water IP X7
- water pressure tank up to 40 m (IP X8)
- additional with high pressure cleaner for special applications (IP X9)
Free-fall shock tests:
The test subject is mounted on a free-fall shock table and is then dropped from a defined height onto an impact pad. The properties of the impact pad determine the shape and duration of the shock pulse, which is recorded with the aid of a transient recorder. The installation area is 25 cm wide and 70 cm long (high).
Electromagnetic compatibility tests (EMC):
All electric and electronic products must be proofed that
- they do not disturb other equipment
- they do not generate failure or
- malfunction under influence of disturbances.
In the aqua signal environment simulation laboratory, power network simulations, UV radiation tests, lighting laboratory measurements and tests on protection systems can also be undertaken.
