To simplify both mounting and planning as well as reducing possible
errors, Glamox has chosen to integrate different sensor alternatives
into the luminaire.
We have chosen 2 PIR solutions for our interior solutions (presence
based on IR) and multi-sensors where both presence and daylight sensors
are built in.
It is not possible to use IR in luminaires with
tight covers because temperature changes in the cover will cause the
sensor to react in error. In these instances we have chosen an
ultrasound sensor which uses the Doppler effect.
By integrating
the sensor into the luminaire we reduce the number of installation
points, as well as placing the most used sensor very close to the user.
Remember
that lower usage of the luminaire also increases the life of both the
tubes and the electronics. Using a sensor always gives good overall
economy.
S-SENSOR
A ”stand alone” IR sensor
that can control the unit in which it is housed. Depending on whether
there is anyone in the room the sensor will turn off/on. The delay can
be set on the rear of the sensor. Factory default = 15 min.
M-SENSOR
A
”master” IR sensor that can control up to 19 slave luminaires. It can
be connected to several ”master luminaires” for a greater coverage. This
sensor turns the light down to approx. 10% when there is no-one in the
room. Well suited to offices, corridors with glass walls and adjoining
rooms etc. The slave luminaire is a standard luminaire with HFDd
connection. The delay can be set on the rear of the sensor. Factory
default = 15 min.
D-SENSOR
A ”dimmable”
master multi-sensor (IR + daylight) that can control up to 19 slave
luminaires. It can be connected to several “master luminaires” together
for better coverage. This sensor turns a light off/on depending on
presence in a room and regulates light depending on the amount of
daylight compared to a pre-set reference level. This level is set by
pulling a cord switch until you have found the desired level. You then
pull the cord twice in quick succession to memorise this (the luminaire
will blink twice if this has been done correctly). You can then either
hide the cord in the luminaire or leave it for user adjustment which
will override the pre-set level. The luminaire will return to the
pre-set level when it is turned on again. Well-suited to areas with
large amounts of daylight. The slave luminaire is a standard luminaire
with HFDd connection.
U-SENSOR
Ultrasonic
sensor that works as a ”Master” which can control up to 500W of lamp
load. The sensor turns off/on depending upon presence in the room. The
sensor is programmed with a sensitivity of about 9 metres in diameter
and a 15 minute delay. Both the sensitivity and the delay are
adjustable. It is very important to find the right sensitivity level as
the sensor can react to very small vibrations. U-sensors are well suited
for use in garage areas, technical rooms and other spaces where
lighting with tight diffuser covers are used.
