Increasingly, energy saving is an important aspect when designing new buildings and renovating old. Lighting accounts for a significant portion of the total energy consumption in a building. When using a sensor we also increase the lifetime of the light installation by reducing the operation time.
When using sensors it is important that the sensor is placed so that it reflects the conditions itis there to detect. A presence detector must sense the movement in a working situation. Remember that a light sensor normally sense reflected light so the reflection of the area below the sensor will normally affect the result.
By using an integrated sensor solution the number of sources of error is reduced. We have chosen to integrate different sensor solutions inside our luminaires. This makes it easier to mount and plan and also increases the change of an optimal communication between sensor and luminaire.
When integrating the sensor we also bring down the number of installation points. In most cases the integrated sensor will be placed close to the user, which gives optimum conditions for sensing both presence and reading the daylight conditions in the working area.
Remember that the optimal solution for setting a sensor is when the user does not notice that the sensor is there.
