Warranty and Terms & Conditions

Luxo gives a 5-year warranty against manufacturing and material defects on all Luxo branded products.  This warranty is valid from the invoice date and applies for manufacturing and material defects if the products have been used/installed in accordance with their intended purpose and application specifications, in a professional and legal manner and in accordance with the product data sheet, service manual and installation instructions provided.  Warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, or products exposed to extreme environmental conditions.

Mechanical components of Luxo brand lights, microscopes and mounting stands provide the original owner a 5-year, 3-shift warranty free from defects in material and workmanship, barring alterations, neglect, disassembly, abuse or misuse, accident, failure to follow Luxo’s published instructions, use of parts, components, peripherals or accessories not supplied by Luxo and/or damage due to service, modifications or tampering by anyone other than a Luxo authorized representative.  Electrical components including switches, wiring, starters and transformers are warranted for one year.  Ballasts are warranted for 5 years.  Ancillary products by other manufacturers, including cameras, microscope ring lights and illuminators, carry the warranty extended to Luxo by its supplier.  Warranty does not cover lightsources other than LED.  Luxo LED magnifiers and task lights carry a 5-year, 3-shift warranty on all components including LEDs, LED drivers and power supplies.  The LED modules have a rated lifetime (per definition:  time elapsed when 70% of initial lumen output remains) of 50,000 hours at an ambient temperature of 25 degrees Celsius.  Luxo LED modules are not replaceable.  In the case of a warranted failure of a Luxo LED module, Luxo will provide a full product replacement.  Luxo warranty coverage is available to the original end-user only, is non-transferable and is only valid for products purchased directly from Luxo or from an authorized Luxo dealer/distributor.

Products for service under warranty will be replaced with a new fully functional product or repaired at Luxo’s discretion.  Repairs or replacements do not extend the warranty period.  Luxo is no longer repairing out-of-warranty products in-house.  For authorized repair facilities, contact Luxo Customer Service.

 

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

General:  Luxo’s magnifiers, microscopes, task lights, accessories and ancillary products are sold through authorized dealers and distributors with all orders subject to acceptance by Luxo.  Prices, discounts, availability and specifications are subject to change without notice.  Prices are those in effect at the time of order entry.  If the requested ship date is more than 90 days after the order date, Luxo reserves the right to price the order based on the published list price as of the shipment date.

Liability: Luxo will not be liable for any special, collateral, incidental, consequential or exemplary losses or damages, and will be limited to replacing the product or crediting the purchase price.

Payment Terms:  1% 10 Days, Net 30 Days.

Freight Allowance: F.O.B. Cary, Il.

Products in the current Industrial price list:  Freight prepaid and allowed via common carrier on shipments of $1,600 Net within the contiguous U.S. 

Products in the current Task Light/Contract price list:  Shipping is free for orders greater than $1,600 Net within the contiguous U.S.  For orders less than $1,600 Net the following shipping and handling fees apply: $15 fee for 1 fixture, $25 fee for 2-5 fixtures, and $40 fee for 6 or more fixtures.  

Shipping and handling within Canada incurs at $50 fee for up to 5 fixtures and an $80 order fee for 6-25 fixtures.  

For shipments outside the contiguous U.S. and Canada, freight collect - Ex-Works, Cary, Il, USA.  Payment on freight collect is required in advance of shipment.

Transportation per Luxo’s preferred carrier and delivery during standard business hours of 9am and 5pm.  Alternate transportation or delivery terms may incur an additional cost to the customer.

Prices:  Prices prevailing at the time of shipment, unless otherwise quoted.

Taxes:  Luxo prices do not include any tax, assessment, duty or custom charge.  Luxo requires a current State Resale/Exemption Certification to be on file at its main office.

Minimum Order: $150 for Luxo industrial products including magnifiers, microscopes, accessories and ancillary products.  $100 for Luxo task lights and accessories.

Drop Shipment:  Products in the current Industrial price list only:  Luxo will drop ship single orders of $1,600 Net or more within the contiguous U.S.  Single orders less than $1,600 Net will incur a $35 drop shipment fee.  No drop shipment fee will be charged for microscope systems.

Special Orders:  All models listed in this price list are standard.  Any variation to these standard items, including color, must be special ordered.  Consult Luxo for minimums, prices and availability.  Special Order products cannot be returned for any reason.

Deliveries:  Luxo will not incur any obligation or liability for any delay or failure to deliver.  In no event will Luxo be liable for any loss or damage resulting from any delay or failure in delivery due to causes beyond its control, including fire, flood and other acts of God, war, strikes or labor disputes or any act or order of government.

Changes/Cancellations:  Order changes or cancellations are not binding upon Luxo until Luxo issues a written acknowledgement of the changes or cancellation.  Under no circumstances will changes or cancellations be accepted on any special orders.

Product Improvements:  Luxo reserves the right to change details of design, material and the finish in any way that does not reduce function or performance.

Returns:  Claims for returns must be made within 45 days of invoice date.  NO MERCHANDISE WILL BE ACCEPTED FOR RETURN WITHOUT LUXO’S PRIOR WRITTEN APPROVAL.  All returned products must have a return authorization (“RA”) number assigned by Luxo Customer Service and such number must be included on the shipping label of the returned product.  When an RA is issued, the address for such return will be provided.  Any return sent to a Luxo address other than the one provided is subject to a rerouting fee.  Returned goods must be received FREIGHT PREPAID within 30 days of issuance of the Return Authorization.  Returns for reasons not attributable to Luxo are subject to a restocking charge of up to 50%.  All retuned goods must be listed in the current year price list.  Credit will only be issued for products returned in accordance with RA terms and in a fully resalable condition.

Shortages, Errors and Damaged Merchandise:  Shipments must be inspected upon receipt.  Shortages and errors must be reported to Luxo within 10 days of invoice date.  Concealed damage and errors on products, including color, missing components or other variations, must be reported within 30 days of invoice date, or such products will be considered accepted.  In transit claims must be filed with carriers immediately upon receipt.  Luxo will cooperate fully with the purchaser on claims filed.

Task Light Dealer/Distributor Rules:  $1,000 minimum opening order and $2,000 for calendar year.

Quotes:  All quotes issued by Luxo are net of all discounts and are valid for 30 days from the date of quote unless otherwise stated.
