Aker Spitsbergen is the biggest 6th generation semisubmersible drilling
rig built for operation in Arctic areas. First contract is for Statoil
in rough waters off the coast of nothern Norway. Glamox also delivered
to the sister rig Aker Barents, currently drilling for Det Norske
Oljeselskap.
