Eminent

Eminent is a multi-purpose IP20/IP44 luminaire in compact design for indoor or outdoor use in various settings. Eminent can be used both as a ceiling and wall luminaire. Eminent has a body in white finished galvanised steel with plastic end caps. It is offered with a choice of opal or clear diffuser. It is available with dimming and an integrated emergency lighting unit.

Eminent with sensor
Eminent is available with built-in presence detector in two different versions; ON/OFF operating with standard electronic ballast and MIN/MAX operating with dimmable electronic ballast.

The ON/OFF version turns the light on when detector is triggered and turns the light off, after a delay time, when the room is unoccupied.

The MIN/MAX version dims the light down from 100% to 10% output, after a delay time, when the room is unoccupied, and rapidly back to 100% when the detector is triggered.

Master/slave functionality
Both sensor versions can control a group of other Eminent luminaires.                

Light source

1 x T5 28, 35, 49W.
2 x T5 14, 28, 35, 49W.

Supplied with or without light sources.

Ballast

Electronic ballast (HF), analogue dimming (HFDa), digital dimming (HFDd) or DALI.

Body material & colour

Body in white finished galvanised steel with end caps in PC/ASA plastic.

Mounting

Ceiling or wall, on luminaire tracks or on horizontal wire. Can be used in evacuation shelters using a special evacuation shelter bracket.

Connection

1 x Ø19 mm knockout in each end cap and 2 x membrane glands in top of luminaire housing.
5 pole 2,5 mm² push-in terminal block.
5 x 2,5 mm² through-wiring on request.

Optics

Clear linear prismatic acrylic diffuser (CL).
Opal  linear prismatic acrylic diffuser (OP).
(Polycarbonate diffuser on request).

Integrated emergency light

Most variants can be supplied with emergency lighting systems (Standard, SelfTest or DALI addressable).

Integrated sensors

Some variants can be supplied with ultra-sonic movement sensor type U-SEN.

Utilising a variety of surface and pendant luminaires, and where possible using the same wiring points proved a challenge on this particular project. Combining the product knowledge of the local Glamox Luxo engineer with the design skills of the University estates office lead to a project on budget and on time, whilst vastly improving the quality of light in the space.
