Glamox has developed the MIR LED Replacement Kit. It is based on long experience in the marine and offshore segment. The MIR LED Replacement Kit is available in 2000lm, 2500lm and 5000lm, and is approved for temperatures down to -30°C and up to +45°C.

HAVFISK is Norway's largest trawler company with 10 oceangoing trawlers. The company is now in the process of changing from traditional fluorescent lighting to LED on board their vessels. Several of their trawlers have already been refitted with LED, by replacing the fluorescent tubes in the ships’ luminaires with ready-made LED kits developed and supplied by Glamox.

Energy consumption reduced with 87 % by converting to LED

An upgrade of the lighting on NORLED-ferry MS Dronningen has led to an 87.2 % reduction in kilowatt hours. This is a saving potential that is applicable to most commercial vessels that use conventional light sources today.
