Hospital / Medical

Intensive care is normally the entry point for a critically ill or injured patient coming into a marine vessel hospital or medical room. Visual examination plays a major role in deciding the right treatment. This demands a high level of general illumination, as well as good colour rendering.

High illumination and color rendering

Arm-mounted examination lights fitted into wall or ceiling brackets, as well as strong general lighting and high color rendering provide the perfect light sources for a hospital or medical centre on a ship. Ceiling-mounted luminaires are the best option in these areas in order to achieve an adequate general lighting level of minimum 500 lux. Clean room luminaires with an IP65 ingress protection (IP) rating are ideal in this situation, providing high protection and energy efficiency.

Medically certified examination luminaires can be mounted on the wall, ceiling, table or trolley stand and used as for general examination lighting or for smaller interventions/procedures. Arm-based examination lights give light precisely where needed and are supplied with narrow and wide light distributions.
