Product Manager (m/f/d) Navy/Global Marine and Offshore Division (Bremen)

For our Technical Center in Bremen, which is part of our Global Marine and Offshore (GMO) division, we are looking for a Product Manager (m/f/d) Navy/Global Marine and Offshore Division

The Product Manager Navy is a combined Product Manager and Product Engineer position, and will be an important link between our Global sales Business Units and our product development and factory teams.

This position is strongly involved in all aspects of the business in the Global Glamox GMO organization, including market analysis, product management, product development and the product lifecycle. The Product Manager is the responsible manager of defined product families, including products, systems and services. This position is also an important sales and project support function to the Global Glamox GMO organization, and is responsible for solving and answering all incoming inquiries from the Sales Business Units and Segment.

Your role:

  • Establish and manage a competitive offering (including products, systems and services) from Glamox, with responsibility for selected product families in GMO and for activities related to the Navy segment worldwide, acting as important link between our global sales business units and our product development and factory teams
  • Analyse and manage the Navy segment product portfolio, including phase-in and phase-out of product families, follow up the production facilities, product profitability and more Write development guidelines for concept studies and preproject reports for new products
  • Provide technical and sales support to internal departments – in particular, to sales departments and segments – on Navy projects and assist the departments in product questions, Naval rules and regulations and related matters
  • Create new variants and articles and implement the Navy product naming strategy
  • Prepare preliminary data sheets and documentation, update manuals, other documentation and the website for the Navy segment and make sure the marketing documentation is updated in accordance with relevant regulations, norms, internal procedures and market/segment requirements
  • Conduct product training, internally and externally, and participate in key Naval trade fairs and sales meetings
  • Analyse market information, market trends and competitors and understand the market in terms of customer behaviour and the competitive environment
  • Develop relevant marketing communication tools together with the marketing communication department and segments

Your profile:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration or a comparable field
  • Experience from the naval, shipyard, lighting or class societies advantageous
  • Strong communication skills in English both spoken and written; knowledge of German a plus
  • Team player mentality and a deadline-oriented working style
