Smart buildings and connected emergency lighting

Fully integrated building management systems create a magnitude of possibilities. They allow you to adapt your emergency lighting solution to include new features, so that you are getting the most out of your lighting system. You can test them remotely and generate test reports, so you can rest assured that everything is working reliably and in accordance with the latest standards.

Connected emergency lighting is now – and the development of new, smarter solutions lessens your workload spent on emergency maintenance and makes your surroundings safer.

You need to perform testing

You are obliged to test your emergency light installation. You have to test the battery status, which means that you need to make sure that the batteries will charge and perform according to the required parameters. You also need to do a functional test of the luminaires in battery mode. This has to be done on a monthly basis on each luminaire, but not on all luminaires at the same time. The recommendation is for selected groups of luminaires to be tested every few days.

All this is required by law in order to ensure the safety of people in the building. This way, as a building owner or facility manager, you can guarantee that the emergency lights will work reliably in the event of an emergency.

Automatic emergency lighting testing

Manual testing of emergency lighting can be very time-consuming in large facilities. Our "Building-wide" systems for central monitoring are solutions that allow you to test the emergency lighting installation in a more automated way. These can also give you off-site, online access by adding our Glamox Connect. With a centrally monitored solution, you also get access to reports from the logging of all tests. All events can then be read in one and the same system: errors, error corrections, new tests, etc. are logged automatically and can then be sent to a public supervisor.

Our emergency monitoring systems

Regardless of whether your project is small or large, the customer offering is comprised of different systems.
